Milwaukee Local Project

Grant Overview
The Milwaukee Pilot works to link various community outreach programs such as the school lunch initiative and existing collaborative partnerships. They are also working with activities to enroll families and children into assuring access to health care. The pilot also is enhancing its cross-systems collaborative involving key county, state and community organizations to continue to simplify enrollment and renewal processes as well as to coordinate such existing health programs that are available through the Milwaukee County General Assistance Medical Program and other resources. In addition, the Pilot is working with employers, unions and employer associations (and the Latino community) to develop health care links to the growing numbers of adults facing health care insurance issues.
