Hope Medical Outreach Coalition

Grant Overview
In Omaha, Nebraska's largest metropolitan area, Hope Medical Outreach Coalition will focus on reaching the adolescent population. The proposal concentrates on providing support staff to area clinics serving the uninsured population in Omaha. These staff will conduct outreach at places where teens and their parents can be reached and will provide support in filling out applications and providing required documentation. Additionally, these staff persons will implement a tracking system to provide a means of following up with clients at the time of their renewal, thereby increasing renewal rates and providing important data about renewal. Utilization of this staff will also assist in providing better coordination between area clinics and should improve efficiency and information sharing. The area clinics include UNMC, Indian Chicano Health Center and Charles Drew Health Center.
